As someone who lives in Brisbane, we all hoping it doesn’t come. Everyone except the politicians thinks this is a bad idea.

All recent awards of the Olympics have followed secret money transfers to the IOC selection committee members' secret bank accounts. Who is making the payoff on behalf of Brisbane?

Check, double check and triple check the contracts. Independent checks, not by anyone beholden to the IOC, politicians, Aussie sports, potential sponsors, anyone who will benefit.

Don't be left holding the giant bag of IOUs that Tokyo, and the Japan taxpayers have been given.
