There have been a few times in summer when Sapporo is about as hot and even hotter than Tokyo. That would be interesting. LOL

When unreasonable decisions are made, it shouldn't be a surprise when adults step in and correct the decision.

I cannot understand the choice of Tokyo for location in the first place. It's not just the heat, the city is heavily polluted. The air is terrible.

Compared to many major cities, Tokyo has far less pollution. Last 3 were Beijing, London and Rio. Next 2 are Paris and Los Angeles. There is no way you are telling me those cities have better air.

Bertie, you can't possibly complain about Tokyo air. I doubt there is any other metropolis with better air worldwide.

Koike needs to get out of her air con office and car and experience Tokyo’s heat island effect a little bit more

IMO, the IOC made the right decision. Athletes should not have to put their lives needlessly at risk in order to compete.
