This guy is an Aussie - what a legend !
Apparently, it wasn’t the police who ‘escorted‘ him away, it was NK agents.
Obviously the NKs don’t have a sense of humour - but we all knew that didn’t we.

Epic troll. Well done.
extanker
I love it. Just shows the true colors of North Korea. Don't mock the Great Leader or you'll be taken away. The guy is probably lucky he did this on camera or he might not have reappeared to give a statement.
RealCDN
He is not fat enough.
Jrw1202
Whether this was thought about, he might be putting those girls in danger when they get home. If they are caught laughing at a guy mocking a dictator who openly believes he is god, them girls and their families could be in a lot trouble when they get home. I don’t know if he should be arrested, but it definitely was the right thing to do to get him away from them.

Best troll ever! Or at least top 20.
I bet those NK men were pissed at him because they can't have that haircut.
Toasted Heretic
If the situation was reversed and a DPRK Moon impersonator had done the same in front of ROK cheerleaders there would have been outrage directed against the North Koreans for such insensitivity.
What a strange world we live in.
OssanAmerica
Give this guy a medal!

That is the trouble with dictators.....no sense of humor.
browny1
Jrw - I thought that too.
Any indication that the cheer girls might have momentarily "enjoyed" the act, could have severe consequences on returning home to King Fascist.

North Korean cheerleaders protected by the secret service - congratulations President Moon and the Winter Olympic committee for ruining what was once a great sporting event.
theeastisred
Excellent. Though he needs to work on the full 1940s-style black bakelite telephone-receiver-placed-across-the-head hairdo.
Toasted Heretic
Congratulations on the attention seeking comedian, you mean.
Supposing one of the cheerleaders had been attacked?
This is a sensitive event and the comedian could have jeopardised it with his idiocy.
Pukey2
Yeah, but he's so cute and cuddly! He's dying for a hug.
dcog9065
This perfectly sums up the absolute farce SK has descended into. The dude who did absolutely nothing wrong was tackled and led away by NK secret service agents. Is it still acceptable to call SK a democracy or an ally?
This is beyond a joke and I hope this legend trolls these NK puppet morons every day until they finally leave or have a mental breakdown from seeing their beloved leader act like a fool

Toasted, are you serious? You're joking right?
Like the North Korean cheerleader troupe are not attention seeking..
By a Kim lookalike called Howard from Australia...
Why should it be sensitive? Its supposed to be the Olympics. Oh that's right, the sudden arrival of these cheerleaders and the sudden wish for a unified Korea made it sensitive. It wasn't sensitive before Kim's sudden PR exercise.
dcog9065
@TigersTokyoDome: Don't bother, there is no convincing the committed rabid North Korea supporter. The NK worshippers have come out of the woodwork this past 2 weeks fawning over NK's "diplomatic gold"and cheerleaders, as if they atone for NK's indescribable crimes and nuclear missile program. They praise KJU's sister for being a "real" diplomat and for striving towards peace, while turning a blind eye to the daily hell everyone in the North endures.
Now, Toasted Heretic is actually praising the NK secret service agents for illegally attacking and detaining an Australian on SK soil for dressing like Kim Jong Un. This position is not consistent with a free and democratic society.
This is the NK supporter's final objective, to spread the cancer of NK. They are enemies of democracy and free expression
Spectrum
@Toasted Heretic: 100% agree with you! Well done to the North Korean bodyguards for putting a stop to this illegal joke quickly during such a sensitive event. No protest against KJU should be legal during sensitive events like this in SK, and this Australian is lucky not to have been extradited to NK to face justice.
TigersTokyoDome
dcog, yep. I am not sure that the seriousness of this Olympics PR job has dawned on many people. In essence, President Moon has allowed North Korea to hijack an Olympic Games with a PR exercise. And I believe that Moon will come to regret p'ing-off the US big time - they will not forget this one.
The fact that some Aussie lookalike joker gets detained by secret service at an Olympics on South Korean soil is very sad. Just wait until this Olympics are over, I predict that North Korea will resume normal service.
Coconut H2O
Sometimes it takes a hero provocateur to expose authoritarianism and protect freedom. (Yes, I realize this was in South Korea, but if they are letting North Koreans tackle a friendly look-a-like on their soil, they are complicit to an authoritarian action)
TigersTokyoDome
Where was the earlier headline?
North Korean cheerleaders provoke Japanese, American, and many South Korean spectators
Mizuame
At least he was an Australian. If he happened to have been from South Korea the summit would now be called off.
CrucialS
No, no one would have cared because Moon doesn't force his people to eat dirt or claim he is a god.
Hopefully he helped some of those people wake up to the terrible and cruel mockery of a government that runs their nation.
Toasted Heretic
I hope the angry people wishing mental breakdowns on posters are ok with other leaders being lampooned at future important events like these.
Well done on the DPRK team for not overreacting. Not so well done for the DPRK minders for being heavy handed.
nandakandamanda
He might have an ‘accident’ in Kuala Lumpur on the way home. Better not let any young women approach him till he’s safely back in Oz!
Spectrum
@Toasted Heretic: Agreed. It would have been understandable if the North Koreans taught this fool a lesson on the spot, but instead they admirably kept their cool and only gave him a few kicks in the shins. South Korea will have to answer for this insult
serendipitous1
Maybe Kim's sister was a lookalike too?!
Toasted Heretic
Well, Spectrum, I'm not into people being manhandled or getting kicked. He should have just been quietly ushered away. He's not part of the games. Could be not have made his protest against the officials, rather than the innocent cheerleaders, I wonder?
I don't believe the ROK should answer to it seeing as it was an Australian, as you say. Perhaps not be so lax on security, I guess.
Mirai Hayashi
Curious to know how the real Kim Number Un feels about this impersonator, and about the gratuitous NK cheerleaders giggling at him. They may be thrown into the dungeons for showing disrespect for their "dear leader"

I love how suddenly it's ok with some of you for freedom of speech to be suppressed. Last time I checked, the Olympics were in South Korea, not North.
