Thank you, Usain! Jamaican white rum tonight!! Please run again in Tokyo in 4 years.

This guy is what makes the Olympics what they are - a celebration of human capabilities. Good on him, especially since he seems to be a pretty good guy overall.

One of the very few athletes who gets the people all over the world excited.

That's what it's about more than anything else.

Amazing stuff! Bolt is the greatest athlete I have ever seen - he makes the rest of the field look like rank amateurs! Perhaps the emergence of "The new Bolt" - South African kid Wayde van Niekerk - will motivate Usain to run on to Tokyo? Their potential match up in the 200m would be sensational. I suspect, however, he will run off into the sunset, undefeated in Olympics and an all time legend.

Time to challenge yourself Mr Bolt! Would love to see him over 400m or 400m hurdles perhaps. I think he ran a very decent 300m a few years back so perhaps with a bit of training... Nothing to prove over 100m and 200m so a new distance just for fun would be great. Plus Bolt over 400m would sell.

@BurakuminDes, isn't Bolt's heir apparent Canadian silver medalist De Grasse (the guy who challenged Bolt in the prelims and earned a finger wag)? He seems young enough to keep getting faster if he avoids injury, doping, partying, breaking down gas station bathroom doors, etc.

Bolt is a legend. He said he will probably focus on the 100m only at next year's World Champs. As for the Olympics, surely that will be it. Best way to go out is on a high and as long as Jamaica win the relay, that's what he'll do. 9/9=wow.
