I felt so sad after reading this article. Probably Osaka faced various difficulties before but she could continue playing tennis because she knows the fun of playing tennis. Mr. Badosa said "All of us are humans. All of us have to deal with these mental struggles." As as a solution of this, I think nobody is forcing them to play tennis so if they feel exhausted by playing tennis the most important thing to do is to take a rest and after taking a rest if they feel to play tennis again they can do that. By reading this article I realized Osaka had hardship because of playing tennis so from now on I'm going to support Ms. Osaka.

Right on. So you got like a name or Photo or something? You don't mean to tell me there's some person out there, forcin good people like yourself, that just want to listen to problems like "limelight suffering",

just so you can come here and cry about "I dont wanna have to hear about these problems!"

I hear you broski. Its so not right. Look just between you and me- I can't stand those bullies. You point me in a general directions and I'll put a hurtin on em for ya- free of charge!

SwissToni:

Whining and complaining at someone with a mental health condition is as irrational as the behaviour of the person in question.

Many people develop such conditions because they're under pressure to feed their families or are in a sticky situation they can't get out of. Many can't even get help. Osaka is not being forced to stay in tennis.

Osaka is not being forced to stay in tennis. She's earned more than enough to not work for the rest of her life but she chooses to stay in the limelight and 'suffer'. She has the money to get help. I'm so tired of listening to millionaires' problems.

@AramaTaihenNoYouDidnt I guess you didn't get the message Naomi does have a life which includes tennis which she is also stressing the importance of Mental Health. I see nothing wrong with a high profile athlete bringing awareness to an issue and also doing what they love to promote it and of course get rich doing it and having people like you stressing your anger!!! No You didnt!!!

Naomi...get a life! Stop your bickering and nagging. You did well for yourself - so move on. Enough with the drama

Does Ms Osaka have to appear in every JT edition? Enough is enough.

Yeah, its not as if she is the highest paid sportswoman in the world and one of Japan's most famous and successful athletes of all time, right?

Keep the stories coming. The comments from angry, non-sporty, middle-aged white males are always hilarious!

Somebody is angry at middle-aged, white males. Why come to a English website then? Non-sporty?? LOL! Hilarious!!

She needs to be in shrink's office not the courts.

I think it is positive that mental health in sports is being discussed much more openly now, independently of any specific case it is important to recognize it can become a problem so it can be dealt with appropriately instead of just pretending athletes are always fine and immune to any problem apart from their physical condition.

Whining and complaining at someone with a mental health condition is as irrational as the behaviour of the person in question. Negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle. Perhaps it’s time some of you spend a little less time in keyboard combat and start to talk about the problems that have laid you so low.

OMG again? No one cares! She caused this crap herself. First she fired her original trainer because he was white then she jumped on the racist communist BLM movement, their own creators admitted they where trained Marxist! She was wearing all that BLM crap!

She wants to make it about race and her mental health. She isn’t good and needs to quit!

The whole article is about women tennis players and their mental health, for some reason.

Do you have to read every Ms Osaka article that appears in JT?

Fighto @ 11.10am

When you have participated at an extremely high sporting level (as I have) your comments might be justified. Until then, make sure your comments are relevant. Looking through rose coloured glasses distorts interpretation.

They should check in on the mental challenge, anxiety and struggles combat sport fighters have to go through.

I wish she had the class of Ashleigh Barty who had the grace to retire when she had had enough of tennis despite being a similar age as Osaka.

If her heart isn't into tennis anymore, she should retire.

Naomi-chan is rich enough to not have to work another day in her life, right?

For god's sake, nobody is forcing them to play tennis. I feel more sympathy for people struggling to make ends meet.
