get well soon, Naomi

Really disappointing news, Naomi-chan was a very big chance of winning this. The other players are very lucky they dont have to beat the best player now!

Rest and get well soon, Naomi-chan. Japan awaits the next Major!

In sports Naomi Osaka is a world leader. Wishing the multiple Grand Slam winner, a speedy recovery and a quick return to competitive tennis.

While it's a shame she cannot compete, she'll be back and playing in no time, and the fans will be happy as ever. She is to tennis in Japan what Nishikori could never, ever be, so they won't jump ship yet.

8 of the top 10 women are competing at Roland Garros, unlike US Open. Will this statement still get deleted?

The way Naomi-chan played in NY, no player present or missing could have beat her. She was unstoppable. Thats why I am so disappointed she isnt going to Paris.

Naomi has yet to advance past the 3rd round at the French Open in 4 appearances and has a middling 18-14 career singles record on clay, including just 6-4 at the French Open

That's why it's not worth it for her to play while injured - she's not that good on clay when healthy; imagine how much worse she'd be while injured
