Didn't Serena Williams get into a massive amount of trouble for doing something similar to Osaka a year or 2 ago?

Go go Naomi-chan! The final with Williams seems inevitable. I bet Williams is getting nervous now!

Naomi says his name for justice : Ahmaud Arbery.

Capuchin, tossing the racquet gets you a warning; if you do it repeatedly, you will get a code violation. Unless the racquet hits somebody, then you may get disqualified

Sorry......I can't be doing with her.She is so flaky.I hear this protest by her is being set up by ESPN and Nike. The US gave her a place to excel which she has done. She never says anything about the reason her family decided to move to America when she was 3 years-old was to escape the inevitable racism she would have to face growing up in Japan as a person of mixed-race.Meanwhile....Japanese media set her up as some beacon of anti-rascism while at the same time refusing to admit or acknowledge that there is a problem in their own country.

Go for it Naomi Chan, here’s one player who wears her heart on her sleeve.

I hear this protest by her is being set up by ESPN and Nike.

The arrival of challenger Marta Kostyuk is good for the game. The Ukrainian looks set to cause ripples and even waves in the higher echelons of women's tennis. Well played Marta.

And I take it you felt the exact same way when an athlete like Rui Hachimura talked about racism growing up in Japan? Keep politics out of sports, correct?

1 ( +6 / -5 )

I’m sure Rui did his talking outside the sports arena - which is perfectly fine

So Naomi, you’re only against white people who shoot black people but not blacks people who shoot black people. And to you it doesn’t matter why the shooting happened. So, black on black shooting is okay with you? You are a professional athlete. Stop being a racist and stick to who you know best. Tennis.

hard take there since 1981. What black cops are killing civilian blacks?

how obtuse can one get? BLM is about cop on civilian violence but you knew that and your strawman never went anywhere

@simon g; so what you’re saying is a few white cops on black civilians shootings/deaths is more important than the thousands of civilian on civilian deaths. Any death in my book is unjustified. Bad police should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And how many innocent adults and babies have died in the name of BLM? How many have lost the jobs, there business all in the name of BLM? You honestly believe that those deaths are justified? All the police who are fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, etc that were injured or killed in the name of BLM are all justified? Many of who even support BLM. BLM And Anti are now seen as Left racial groups and are no longer being seen as a movement to police reform.

No but paid government employees (police) by a large disproportionate rate kill more blacks and people of color than whites. That is state sponsored and deserves to be called out. The rest of what you wrote is kind of waffling so I won't respond. Try separating the issues, then don't conflate the two.
