10 medals but where was the coverage on TV unlike the Olympics? The lack of coverage on the paralympics is disgusting and unfair, they should hold these events at the same time, the paralympians deserve that at least.

"Tokyo has much to learn from the just-ended Pyeongchang Paralympics..."
Yeah, like maybe broadcasting one or two events?

Fantastic result but very poor coverage. One might be forgiven for thinking Japan is ashamed of its paralympic athletes.

Since we didn't get medal updates here, here's the Top 10 medals table:
Rank --- NPC --- Gold --- Silver --- Bronze --- Total
1 - United States (USA) - 13 - 15 - 8 = 36
2 - Neutral Paralympic Athletes (NPA) - 8 - 10 - 6 = 24
3 - Canada (CAN) - 8 - 4 - 16 = 28
4 - France (FRA) - 7 - 8 - 5 = 20
5 - Germany (GER) - 7 - 8 - 4 = 19
6 - Ukraine (UKR) - 7 - 7 - 8 = 22
7 - Slovakia (SVK) - 6 - 4 - 1 = 11
8 - Belarus (BLR) - 4 - 4 - 4 = 12
9 - Japan (JPN) - 3 - 4 - 3 = 10
10 - Netherlands (NED) - 3 - 3 - 1 = 7

I saw a lot of coverage on NHK - or at least much more than I've ever seen before. Didn't look at any other channels. Some really inspiring athletes - many with their kids in tow. Hearing them speak about their struggles and drive to reach the podium was - I agree with Marcelito - more inspiring than that of the able-bodied athletes.
As for Koike's visit, I'm glad to read here comments. This is the enduring legacy we hope for - a more livable city, designed to be accessible by all.

taj: "I saw a lot of coverage on NHK"
Ah, but was it live? I bet there were plenty of replays of gold medals when the variety shows were over, for sure, but live events. I didn't see a single one; mind you I don't watch TV 24/7.

It was live when I was watching, which was mostly on the weekends. I admit, though that I was doing housework with the TV on - rather than sitting down and paying full attention. Some of what I saw may have been replays.

To the people in charge of implementing the plans of the government of Tokyo: Just English will not do. Please have a look at Nagoya subways where signs are already in Chinese, Korean as well as English. For the Olympics, one needs to add at least Arabic (one cannot expect sports people to learn a new language just for the Olympics). There is another language in Nagoya in some signs but I did not recognize it.
Ganbare Japan!
Abdolutely unvelievable performance, almost as good as the regular Olympic team! Well done, team Japan!
