Well done ladies, all of the years of hard relentless training has paid off

Other countries have a lot more athletes in the events and can win silver and bronze.

Japan has 6 gold medals in wrestling.

Many countries do not put effort in this sport and do not have athletes.

That was an impressive showing by Kitaguchi way outdistancing the competition. Way to represent lovely Asahikawa, Hokkaido.

They have the third most gold medals…they really are the best at winning gold medals…Japan just knows not to win at sports”

I think Australia might disagree with you.

Hats off to Haruka Kitaguchi - going in as very strong favourite, and nailing it when it ccounted! Great job.

It has definitely been one of Japans most successful games - I know I'll be downvoted for stating that, but it's true. And a few more gold medal shots tomorrow to round things off!

Japan wins another gold medal. They have won a lot less medals than the other top countries, but have the third most gold medals. They really are the best when it comes to winning events. Other countries have a lot more athletes in the events and can win silver and bronze. Japan just knows not to win at sports.
