Congrats Tay-Tay on winning your very first Super Bowl! That's no mean feat.

CHIEFS BABY!

CHIEFS BABY!

Good game, congrats.

Best defense in team history.

Let’s hope they can re-sign their free agents.

Chris Jones and Snead.

Very good game. That blocked extra point loomed large at the end of regulation. Mahomes has ice water running through those veins and he shows it time and time again. Maybe Shanahan should have deferred at the start of OT but there's no knocking the 49ers, they just got beaten by one team better than they are: the dynastic Chiefs. Can't wait for next season!

Crap. I wanted San Francisco to get another Super Bowl victory under their belts. There always will be a next time.

I actually got to see the 49ers back in 1987 but not in a game. Their tickets sold out way too fast even then. I saw Huey Lewis and the News at Laguna Raceway in late May and the 49ers (incl. Joe Montana!) came up and sang cameo on 'Hip to be Square'. We didn't have smartphones yet and Kodaks were a no-no.

Quite a surreal experience that was, just a memory but what a memory!

Kelce behaved like an unhinged lunatic when he assaulted his coach. Clearly has some anger management issues and marred the whole thing.

I watched the whole thing and what a game that was(!)—the best offense against the best defense—there was a little bit of everything and the OT brought us that extra excitement; congratulations, KC; overall, I think SF is a better team but Mahomes makes the right decisions at the right time—one of the best QBs of all time, probably the goat—Brady has 7 but if we compare Patrick Mahomes (28) to a 28 year old Tom Brady, Mahomes has 16 more regular season wins, 4 more playoff wins, one more SB appearance and he has now the same number of SB wins (3), plus he’s a three time mvp.

I completely missed the game due to an unexpected work incident being dumped on me (angry emoji)

It sounds like lots of errors, which will stop it being a classic, but the NFL successfully delivered a close game again and they are always entertaining. SF only 3 of 12 on third down, so that and the mixed extra point will have them thinking what might have been.

KC had a meh season, but Reid and Mahomes know how to get in done, even on the road, in the playoffs. Well done to them. They did it the hard way this time.

Only if one is backing a loser.

Hats off to The Chiefs, back-to-back Champs! It sure was a nailbiter, but the best team definitely won. The incomparable Mahomes was outstanding in directing the plays - as was "Mr Taylor Swift" - Travis Kelce.

Party time on the streets of Missouri state tonight!

Mahomes earning that half a Billion $ contract.

It started slowly, but what a finish!

Even coattail rider Tyler Swift couldn't dampen the festivities around the world today! Congratulation Chiefs fans, and congratulations America. Another fine example of the most famous show in sports!

Been drinking since 8am, I might have to take a personal day tomorrow.

Here is a Niners cheerleader from the last time they won a Super Bowl-

My head is still hurting with Shanahan getting out-coached for the third time in Super Bowl.

I thought he would have learnt from his previous mistakes and provide us the die-hard Niners fans the Seventh Super Bowl but choked in the end.

Went too much pass and 3 and outs many times than just moving the ball up field.

Over complicating than continue to play with the strength's of the team,

It's hard to get to the Super Bowl and who knows when we'll be back.

One thing that had worried me throughout the season was that the defense was not playing as well as they could with the new DC even though all the past pieces plus more players were available. He had a habit of giving up too may long plays and it showed in the last few Chiefs plays and the last time they got the ball and scored.

He may not have a job next season.

DaDude - Harsh....

Jind - agreed. It looked like the offense was discombobulated the entire game. Should have run the ball much more. They wasted a wonderful performance by the SF defense.

It has been a rough past week with my family going through the flu. However, Whiners losing completely cured me lol

Such a boring game. It makes croquet look exciting.

A walk off game in OT.

If that’s boring, I don’t know what counts as excitement.

apparently its 90 minutes of glorified jogging interrupted by flailing about on the turf if someone breathes on your ankle, then penalty kicks - most of which somehow missing despite a net the size of of Rhode Island.

The majority of the game was indeed less exciting than a lot of matches, but it became pretty good in the latter part, and a nail-biter at the end for sure. Best part of the game, though, is watching and hearing MAGA fools poop themselves and scream about how they never wanted the grapes anyway because they are too bitter.

Congratulation to both the chiefs and the 49ers for playing an excellent game, and extra Congrats to the Chiefs on their second win in raw.

Would love to see the 49ers take the prize but it doesn't matter the Chiefs EARNED IT.

"a frustrated Kelce bumped Andy Reid on the sideline, knocking the Chiefs' 65-year-old coach a few steps back "

BS. He full on shoved the coach!

Wanted to see Baltimore-Detroit.

SF will be back next year.

Kelce, I believe, is mentally unstable.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

Kudos to the Chiefs for doing what they had to, but really it was all there for the 9ers to win but they gave it away...which basically means yeah the better team triumphed.

@stan, I think so too.

First Superbowl in years that didn't put me to sleep. Congrats KC! Everyone from the midwest was behind you!

Officials only gave the 49rs 1 touchdown they didn't deserve.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

When Kelce bumped his coach the camera panned to Taylor and she looked terrified. People will remember that scene as a early warning. Its just a matter of time before Taylor will be singing a song about Kelce. Maybe she will name it Over time, forth down, Sack!

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

My expert analysis:

If the 49ers would have scored more points than the Chiefs, they would have won. So, the coach should have had them score more points, while, at the same time, preventing the Chiefs from scoring as many points as they did.

That brilliant analysis is made even more amazing by the fact it was the only football game I've watched all year. Or many years.

Kelce - a talented football player but otherwise a laughingstock… run Taylor - burn the roast and he’s likely to put the boots to you.

If he does then she'll have a real reason to write a diss track about him, like she does about all her exes.
