Super Bowl party at a friend's house! No Harbaugh bowls though.

Headline should read: "Giants-Pats Back into Superbowl". Horrendous ends to 2 well-fought games.

I saw the Giants-49ers game on NHK-BS1 and it was fantastic. Those two teams' defenses were monster. During the ending of the fourth quarter, both teams forced stop after stop after stop and it seemed like no one could score. And that Williams strip of Kyle WIlliams in overtime was the difference. It seems like the Giants defense and special teams have the skills of going after the ball and causing turnovers. Pass rushers like Pierre-Paul, Osi, Tuck, and Kiwanuka put constant pressure on Smith the entire game. I think he only completed something like 12 passes the entire game. With the high-powered offense of the Patriots going against that monstrous front 7 of the Giants, this Superbowl rematch should be a good one.

G-Men all the way. I was in NY for the miracle win in 2008 and I will be watching this one on Feb 5th at home (sorry boss I am sick that day). Eli is a class act QB. Giants defense win this Super bowl.

NETNINJA...UNBELIEVABLE... that you actually think websites will not post who won just because they don't want to spoil the plans of people like you of watching recorded games?..Are you serious?... Next time... stay off the internet, that will solve your problem

It was the Year of the QB but come playoffs it was special teams that made the diff.

A Super bowl featuring East coast teams? And a 2008 rematch to boot? Thanks, but no thanks.

Neither Brady nor Manning did much to win these games. They were handed the wins by mistakes made by the other teams. How do you miss a 32 yard field goal? How do you turn the ball over twice on punt returns? The Ravens and 49ers played outstanding defense. Too bad special teams had to ruin it for them.

Spoiler Alert: I was hoping for a Packers vs. 49'ers Superbowl.

OK. I'll be a good boy. Go get 'me G-Men! Hope the sensitive censors let THIS comment pass.

News sites report news. I know if I have no chance to watch the majestic sumo that I must avoid news sites that will show the results until I have time to watch my recorded sumo.

ironchef...I thought I would be safe. Okay guys....you're right. It is a news site. Fair enough. They should report the news but my argument was about the link. It could have read anything but the details were so clear....edged....awww man.

Please don't report on any movies. I shouldn't have thrown the book at you JT mods. All I really wanted was a SPOILER Alert warning. We are your readers. There are all different types here I know. It's just the timezone difference. Most of us are going to be at work. We can't see the game. I'm not saying don't report on it......just give me a chance to avoid the spoiler.

Patriots Ravens dish it out to the end. Patirots Ravens: "It was a close one"

Sorry JT mods.....I jabbed at ya....The link was there and I just couldn't avoid it. I'm still going to watch the game but....I just thought I wouldn't find out here since the focus is JapanToday everyday.

Anyway, just consider it.

Yeah probably same for me - mighta been interested if Ravens has gotten to the Superbowl - but no Eagles or Steelers so not too fussed about it this year

if you dont want to know the results of the games today, stay off the internet completely. shut off your tv. turn off your smartphone/mobile. simple as that. No Japanese watches NFL games so you would completely be safe.

NetNinjaJAN. 23, 2012 - 10:08AM JST Shame on you, JT!! Shameful. I know it's news but you didn't consider that some of us are so excited about these games that we would record them. Friends of mine and myself are recording this and are hoping for the chance to discover it for ourselves. You could at least put SPOILER ALERT in the link. Instead you just went ahead and told us who won. We can't miss seeing that. Could you consider changing it ASAP for other readers. Rename it...anything but the link you posted. If it had said Ravens versus Patriots I would not click on it.

I understand how you feel and I hate when the same thing happens to me too, but you can't fault JT here anymore than you could fault Yahoo! since they do the same thing. This is why I try to avoid any kind of those sites whenever I have recorded a game to watch later. I also tend to stay away from my emails and Facebook as well or only use them very carefully. Won't even look at the sports results showing on JR trains or on TV just in case there's a story on the game I've recorded. :D

Seriously? You want a news organization to NOT report the news just because you wanted to watch the game sometime later at your leisure and wanted it to be a "surprise"? That's about as selfish as a person can get.

Patriots vs. Giants. I... won't be watching.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Why would you come to a news site if you don't want to know the news? Can't blame JT for this.

Good luck Pats, NY whether Yankees or Giants suck!

There is not one news organization in the world, online or otherwise, that would omit the result from the headline.
