What a coincidence. Title safe, no Hamilton at Mercedes so looks like they were ask by the powers that be, at F1 to throw the race. Anyway a Bahrain Bis race.

Not only stacking up the cars at pitting but misfitting both cars ?

to much to believe in.

Hillclimber,

I agree completely. Russell is a mediocre driver who was on his way to revealing the reality about Hamilton, ie, the emperor has no clothes but has the very best car in the field. Almost anyone of the F1 drivers could win in that car, but certainly, hand that car to Verstappen, Vettel, Raikonnen or Ricciardo and Hamilton would be shown for what he really is - or more to the point, isnt.

I’ve stated before that Hamilton needs to win with another team to be regarded as the GOAT.

This is absolute rock solid proof that ANYONE can win in Hamilton's car. Even a rookie.

Completely false. The fact is that Mercedes is the fastest car, but the reason why Hamilton wins is he is absolutely the best driver of his generation, if not all time.

For those who watch how he wins and drives, week in and out on the circuit, one would realize how he wins in different intelligent and sporting ways, particularly being so much better than Valteri Bottas, who is also a great driver. It isn't just about speed, although Hamilton continually gets poles, it's about how he is both fast and knowledgable, understand the car, the tires, and everything about his role as a champion driver. He has a temperament and mental strength that is unique to his standing as arguably the best driver who ever lived.

All drivers in the past had the fastest cars. That's how it works in F-1, but the consistency to win is something that doesn't come just because one has a fast car. Hamilton is legit. A great champion. Do not taint his ability on some sort of generalized look at F-1 racing.

Russell is not a rookie and is not a mediocre driver. This is his second season, at age 22, in a slower Williams and he has shown his ability, to those who watch F-1 closely and follow driver's ability. He has shown great potential, speed and has elite level skill, which he may develop into a World champion driver, and was evident in his superb Mercedes debut.

Big side note is how good a driver Perez is, and huge congrats to his win. He's the better driver on his team, but is being demoted, as Lance Stroll's dad is part owner of the team. I'm very happy he's shown his ability the past two races, and getting the top podium!

And how many points does Russell have from his two seasons in F1?

But if Russell had driven Hamilton’s car this year he would very likely be world champion. But that goes for most of the other F1 drivers too.
