Even the minimum salary is more than TEN TIMES what an ordinary worker earns, while a salary of 36 million is simply obscene. MLB deserves to die a Coronavirus-induced death.

As much as I love baseball, I think the best solution is to admit there is no reasonable way to have a season this year.

Shut it down. Start over next Spring. End of story.

This ridiculous proposal is possiblye meant to drive a wedge between the players that have time in and are highly compensated, and the "newer" players who are not compensated as well.

All players still assume the high risk of catching a disease for which there is no cure and can kill you. It just ain't worth it.

The owners and their families will prolly come no where near the ball parks.

I hope the Players Union rejects this outright.

It's just the first offer in a negotiation, but many analysts believe it's a first offer that went too far

Heck, the owners want the top players to take an 80% paycut

Who would agree to an 80% paycut - are the Billionaire owners taking an 80% paycut

Even the minimum salary is more than TEN TIMES what an ordinary worker earns, while a salary of 36 million is simply obscene.

And the owners are Billionaires, so it's the Billionaires going against the Milllionaires

So don't feel sorry that the Billionaires can afford to pay a $36 million salary, let alone a minimum salary of half a million

MLB needs to sort out their problems since the NHL has already sorted out theirs (NHL season will resume straight to the playoffs) and the NBA is on the way sorting out theirs too

If the MLB doesn't, then the two winter-spring sports (NHL and NBA) will be eating the season of summer that's normally the MLB's season
