As usual, money overrides all.
Concerned Citizen
So unvaccinated non citizens will have more rights than unvaccinated citizens in Australia. What a disgrace.
Mickelicious
Why are there still elite athletes who haven't been jabbed.
Go vac yourselves, cupcakes.

Yeah stand on yer head do a back flip and get vaccinated whilst playing tennis with a kangaroo down under.

Maybe Djokovic's snub has hurt the egos of the dullards running/ruining Victoria. They're quite happy to send armed cops after dissenters within their own state, but it seems their resolve wavers when people good at hitting a ball refuse to play the game.
They don't want to risk losing the best players, so it's more like a Japanese-style urge.

Djokovic has forced this u-turn, he's too big and important for them to risk not playing in a major. He would also become a rallying point for others who object to vaxx mandates.
God, I love this bloke - 20 GS already in the bag, men's tennis GOAT, and standing up for human rights in the face of petty tyranny, what a hero!

The Tennis Players nay NOT not need it to participate. But makes sure you get your jab! Keep everyone else safe.
Hugh Montgomery, professor of intensive care at University College London, has just finished a 24-hour shift. He looks knackered and beaten, but not by the hours, nor the cumulative effect of battling a pandemic for 18 months. What gets him, he says, is that many of the patients he is treating shouldn’t be there. ICU beds, which could be used for cancer patients, or elderly people needing hip replacements, are being taken up by anti-vaxxers and Covid-deniers.
“We are running three beds to one nurse. It’s supposed to be 1:1,” says Montgomery. The numbers being admitted to hospital are predicted to rise six or seven-fold this winter. The problem is exacerbated by the burden of keeping Covid patients isolated. “We cannot put a Covid patient next to a cancer or hip-replacement patient, so we are running two health services. It’s not fair. We have got a disease we now understand, a safe vaccine that works, but the wards are full of people who don’t believe that to be true.”

ROFL, he wants the freedom to spread the virus and you think is standing up for human rights!!!!
All the idiots who don't want the vaccine should have the freedom to sit at home and not interact with their more sensible fellow humans!!!
Ingvar
The rule is patently absurd. Djokovic has had the virus. He has better immunity than anyone who has been vaccinated but hasn't had the virus.
Blacklabel
Yeah who would have thought that elite athletes care about what goes in their body?

this NBA player may never play again.
doctors says? don’t blame the vaccine, blame that he plays basketball?
theResident
No @Ingvar - The only thing patently absurd is your complete denial that the vaccine is doing its job. @Blacklabel: Your own website even states the following : The phenomenon is exceedingly rare - and actually offers no conclusive proof (WHATSOEVER) that it caused TTS in this player! You think we don't click on your links?
ulysses
Very true dear sir, most of them care about not getting Covid, because you know what, it will cause havoc to their bodies.
Did you read the link that you shared, he walked backed on his claim, I am sure that part escaped your attention.
But as I said idiot anti-vaxxers are welcome to go into isolation and not interact with the outside world!!!
Raw Beer
Indeed, it makes little sense for him to get the vax. He is already better protected than any other player who has not been infected yet.

It was the article you chose to try and present your argument. Don't get mad because you didn't read it.
Blacklabel
My argument was that liberal media and their aligned doctors will do and say anything to claim that nothing bad is related to the vaccine. It proved my point very well, actually.
its “rare”. Can’t “prove it”. Always the answer for every death or vaccine caused heart or blood condition.
Easy to say “rare” when it doesn’t happen to you and when no one is willing to “prove” it because they are mercilessly attacked if they say something off narrative.
Blacklabel
enjoy your tennis match without the nine time champion then I guess? Unless he gets exempted.
my point stands, its understandable why elite athletes of all people would want to not put this into their body and suffer some career ending (but “rare”) condition.
