In 1895 a similar thing happened and resulted in the birth of rugby league in the north of England. And rugby league turned out to be a much more exciting sport to watch and play than rugby union. Who knows what this might result in?!

Yeah, Rugby League rocks and in recent years Union has taken from the RL playbook to speed up and improve their game. NZ Rugby is an exciting spectator sport so I hope this wrangling does no damage to the sport.
