I remember at the beginning of the season when the Blue Jays were tipped to be title contenders... sheesh, what a mess this project has become

The Yankees are a team that was built from the ground up to score runs by hitting alot of home runs. More than half of their 2012 home run production is no longer on the team, and they didn't add any long ball hitters. They are simply not built for small ball with hitters like Ichiro. They are near the bottom of the majors in stolen bases, sacrifice bunts, and hit and runs. Yankees got money to spend and they will be back.

Yankees still in the wild card race since Texas Rangers keep losing, now 7 in a row. Tampa Bay now leapfrog into the first wild card spot, while the Yankees are only 2.5 games behind the Rangers for the last wild card spot.
