Real Madrid playmaker Arda Guler scored a brilliant goal

Did you see that? He must have a foot like a traction engine.

Turkey/Georgia was fabulous to watch. 'Well-supported' is an understatement. It was like a home game for them. It's probably the best team Turkey have ever had, with lots of Champions League talent. Arda Guler's goal may yet be the goal of the tournament. Real bagged him for just £20m. Very little money for talent like that.

If Turkey are the sleepers, Georgia may be the surprise package. They moved the ball up the pitch really impressively. It could easily have been 2-2 but for a clearance off the line in the final minutes. Their fans can be proud of them.

Felt a little sorry for the Czechs. They pretty much gifted both goals to a slow, lacklustre Portugal. The same tactics the Portuguese have used for two decades, and some of the same players. Ronaldo got as little service as Kane. Jota should have been on for the whole game. Fábio Carvalho doesn't appear to even be in the squad. He's a more creative player than most of them - bought by Liverpool and on loan at Hull last season. Liverpool should have kept him at Anfield. As things stand, Portugal look to be as reliant on Bernardo Silva as England are on Bellingham.

Nice to see a player booked for diving. The refereeing has been surprisingly good in the games I've seen.

This tournament seems to be favouring sides with pace and a desire to use it, particularly down the wings, which is good for viewers but may be bad news for Portugal (and England).
