Unfortunately this is why rugby will never go anywhere as a true international sport. The NZ coach is upset because they didn't win 200-0?

The neutral Japanese crowd supported the Canadians after the first 10 minutes. Empathy.

Here's an idea, why don't the top 4 teams in the world automatically qualify for the quarter finals. Then the remaining 16 battle it out in the pool stage to make up the other 4 quarter finalists. This would avoid these ridiculous games where the (now) rank 22 country plays the all blacks.

Because then we would never have seen Japan beat South Africa and Ireland.

Nobody said that. However, the All Blacks have extremely high standards & dropped the ball when they shouldn't have. It's pretty normal to be frustrated at that.

Canada should not really be in this contest. Rugby is a minor league sport in Canada and I doubt even one in 500 Canadians know or care about this game or the Rugby World cup at all.

Canada qualified fair and square. Rugby might not be popular but they've had success and have even made the quarter-final stages once before.
