The Japanese can take pride in the fact that they staged a successful tournament with their national team performing creditably, losing the competition but winning the hearts of the worldwide audience. The final result was especially gratifying since the social and political impact of the Springboks' well-deserved triumph will play an important role in helping to heal the deep wounds stemming from the country's dark history of racial division.

The english need to learn to be sportsmen instead of carrying on like a bunch of spoilt entitled brats taking off their silver medals, did they even bother to congratulate South Africa?
