Head coach Jamie Joseph's evolution in delegating and becoming a better communicator is a major reason why the Japanese are a win away from reaching the Rugby World Cup quarterfinals, forwards coach Shin Hasegawa said on Monday.

What absolute nonsense.

There is one reason and one reason only for the Brave Blossom's improved performance over the last 3 world cups.

That is their use of the "residency rule" allowing overseas players on the team. Many teams have residency players but Brave blossoms built their squad around them.

Fingers crossed for the big game with the Argies as coach Joseph fights to get the Brave Blossoms into the QF - and hopefully then further. He is a top class coach, and it is disappointing he will be finishing up with Japan soon.

Come on, Brave Blossoms!
