smashing game - free flowing and helped immensely by the correct scrum rulings and the offside line being policed correctly for once.

Big difference between Northern hemisphere and Southern hemisphere refereeing; and the respective team tactics. Kiwis looking to play attractive rugby and move the ball, whilst the Lions try to use brute force to smash their way over the line or get penalties. They have a French referee for half the tour games too, with a different way of interpreting the rules compared to the Australian counterpart. Overall, the tour schedule is punishing for the team; they do have 45 players with them, equal to 2 full teams plus substitutes. In theory they can rest, but they want to play their best team to win, and the locals want to see the best team too.

Lions camping in the opposition backline one of the reasons Crusaders never fired. This game was refereed fairly,Highlanders B played out of their skins against Lions B, and the 'Landers deserved the win fair & square, hard to get a one in Dunners for touring teams. Bring back the 'Brook and a knighthood for Marty Banks plz!
