I have little sympathy for bigots who choose to parade their bigotry. Keep your ideas to yourself or in your church with fellow bigots.

Not difficult.

Jimizo

I have little sympathy for bigots who choose to parade their bigotry.

Amen to that.

I also have a particular dislike for people who claim to be Christian, and then behave in exactly the opposite way that a real follower of Jesus Judge-not-lest-ye-be-judged Christ would. Being an @sshole in the name of Christ. I shake my head in wonder.

I’m not so sure. Jesus didn’t mention homosexuality and if we go back to the Jewish scriptures, it recommends execution for homosexuals.

My take is Christians pick and choose what to believe and many choose to ignore the appalling homophobia in the scriptures. Those who choose homophobia should be judged on that basis. They are bigots.

Jesus didn’t mention homosexuality.

No. He did not. He broke the old rules. Threw them out with the footbath water. And he said, "above all, love thy neighbor."

If your goal is to model your life on JC, you be nice to others. If your goal is to feel superior and assert control over other people, you use the name of JC to label yourself as superior and behave like Folau.

He also said bad people will be thrown into a lake of fire.

Not very loving.

He didn’t specify that his dad’s idea of executing homosexuals was now null and void and they won’t be tortured for eternity.

A lot of guesswork needed here.

Jimizo, who is 'he'? Jesus? IF?

Maybe they should have given Folau a temporary ban or something. It seems that mistakes were made on both sides.
