0-for-5 on Monday night and struck out three times. Average down to .266. He'll eventually wind up like Hideki Matsui with a decent number of homeruns each year and a .240 average.
When was the last time a pitcher was leading the league in home runs? Also, a .266 average is still higher than the team batting average of every single MLB team this season. One more thing, Matsui hit over .280 for his career.
