Its absolutely ridiculous how much these sports athletes get paid . Vulgar.

All Japanese starting pitchers in MLB get injured.

You've got a point. They're all way overpitched in JHS or high school. They're a Tommy John surgery waiting to happen. I know, I used to help coach a couple of JHS baseball teams here in Japan.

It's a money game. The billionaires who own the teams rake in more than the players. The New York Yankees, as an example, are worth $4 billion. The Cubs are a large market team. The players are paid what the team can afford to pay. It's not like the times before free agency when players had to work in the off-season to make enough money for their families. As for injuries, there are very few players who have never had any. The owners know this, too, before signing a player.

I think one could make the argument that MLB teams overpay Japanese pitchers who have never thrown a pitch in the majors. It’s a gamble.
