While I don’t agree with compulsory military service, it’s worth pointing out that many Koreans saw this as a bit sneaky.

Most Koreans probably don't have a job that they can only do for around 10 good years. They should let athletes carry out the service later since they are more fit than the average salary-man anyway.

As for the match, I was surprised how Japan went toe-to-toe with Korea despite using a U21 team with no overage players. Not to mention making it to the final to begin with. They had some good chances and it would've been fully deserved if they had won.
