If Where's the Cam(era) didn't showboat all year when he was winning, the heat for his immature post-game antics would be a lot cooler. Any NFL fan has to admit he had one hell of a season. The Panthers played incredible football. With that written, when you gloat and taunt opposing teams (both on and off the field) all season long, then act like an 8-year-old in the post-game press conference when you lose the big one, Newton is getting what he deserves.

I just lost all respect for this guy. You win some lose some- that's how it goes. Cam is just another gangbanger with speed.

He congratulated Denver players after the game and that all that matters. All the media does is ask the same stupid questions. He should have just pulled a Marshawn Lynch and ignored the media altogether.

Newton said he's the type of black quarterback that folks have never seen before. He needs to look no further than Russell Wilson - a black quarterback who has won more Super Bowls than he has - to see how he handled the spotlight when Seattle lost last year; with maturity and class (and I am not even a Seahawks fan).

Hell, he wasn't even willing to recover his own fumble when Carolina was down 6 points in the waning moments of the game for fear of hurting himself. That decision spoke volumes about what kind of football player he really is. He's all about Cam and not about his team nor the fans who support the Panthers.

Newton an elite quarterback? Puhleeze . . . . .

He went from storming out of a press conference to becoming a gangbanger. That escalated quickly.

If you know ur "football movies" ie; Varsity Blues, Remember the Titans, Friday Night Lights, The Program etc. Then you'd be familiar with that "gangbanger with speed" reference. Obviously you've got no clue-

What game did you watch? Immediately after the final whistle blew, Newton spoke briefly to Manning on the field and then headed straight to the locker room. He had no interaction with any of the other "Denver players".

He should have just pulled a Marshawn Lynch and ignored the media altogether.

If you knew anything about the NFL (which you obviously don't), Lynch is a running back. Newton is a quarterback; I.e., the on field general. In a game like the Super Bowl, a quarterback (win or lose) is obligated to meet the sport press afterward. Storming out in the middle of his meeting shows his lack of professionalism and class.

Also, Newton was named the league's MVP on Saturday night. As such, he is the reigning "face" of the NFL. Wonder if those who voted for him are having buyers' remorse today.

Don't know if the first part is true, but saw this meme shared on FB just now:

Governor Snyder Refuses to Answer Questions After Poisoning a City - Media Couldn't Care Less

Cam Newton Refuses to Answer Questions After Losing Superbowl - *Media Loses Its Mind**

Cam is a great player; in fact he was just crowned NFL MVP. But now he has to realize that crown comes with greater responsibilities than just any other player. If he does exuberant celebrations when he's on top, then he has to be extra gracious when he's not - if he can dish it, he must show of being able to take it too.

Yesterday when he doubled-down on his post-SB press conference by saying it's because he really hated losing that much, that created a contradiction because he obviously didn't hate losing enough to dive for that fumble. He made an understandable "business decision" for his future, but thoughts of his future trumped his hate for very-possibly losing that game in the present.

That is bull and you know it, you meant just what you wrote. The term was used in the 1993 movie ‘The Program’ and referred to a player's recent arrest for battery. Newton has never been in any trouble on or off the field. He may be guilty of immaturity but nothing more. Now go away and slither back into your hole.

Ha! I never said Lynch was a QB? Since you know me well and decide to put words in my mouth. I played football for 15 years, season ticket holder to Rams and Chargers since birth, fantasy football for 20 years as well. Who are you to be the commissioner of the NFL?

I really don't care about his attitude towards the media though your steaming about it for some reason.

Whatever ! "Superman" met his kryptonite, it's plain and simple!

Thank you Texas! That's why I have tremendous respect for Russell. Stand up guy for sure!

You do know that your Saint Cam was kicked off the U. of Florida football squad and expelled from the school in his freshman year for stealing a team mate's laptop in the locker room. Yeah, a real standup guy. . . .

Ask yourself this: If the media truly couldn't care less, how did the guy making the meme know that the Governor refused to answer questions?

Newton has never been in any trouble on or off the field.

As Aggie noted, he was busted for stealing the laptop and campus police chuckled when he attempted to get rid of the evidence by tossing the laptop out his dorm window while officers watched from outside. Cam was dropped from the team and TECHNICALLY did not get expelled, but that's only because he announced he was transferring just prior to U of F starting the expulsion procedures. Cam's choice to transfer to? The football powerhouse, Blinn College. Cam was involved in MORE shady dealings after one year at Blinn, when his dad, Cecil Newton, started telling division IA colleges who wanted to give Cam a scholarship that "it would take more than a scholarship for my son to play for you." Amounts between $100,000 and $180,000 were mentioned in a complaint filed by Mississippi State University to the NCAA. The NCAA ultimately stated that Cam had no knowledge of this, but seriously, do you REALLY believe that?

Ha! I never said Lynch was a QB? Since you know me well and decide to put words in my mouth. I played football for 15 years, season ticket holder to Rams and Chargers since birth, fantasy football for 20 years as well. Who are you to be the commissioner of the NFL?

The point he was making was that, while running backs might be able to get away with the silent treatment, the starting quarterback will NEVER be allowed to do that. It's part and parcel of being the leader of the team. Someone of your VAST football experience should already know that.

Cam also addressed his lack of effort on the fumble:

I didn’t dive on one fumble because the way my leg was (positioned)," Newton told reporters in Charlotte on Tuesday. "It could have been contorted in a way. You say my effort? I didn’t dive down. I fumbled - that’s fine. That’s fine. We didn’t lose the game because of that fumble.

Really Cam? Because of that fumble and a lack of Carolina recovery, less than a one touchdown deficit turned into a two touchdown deficit with only minutes left to play. While technically the fumble didn't lose the game (because you were ALREADY losing the game prior to the fumble), the fumble resulted in there being no hope for your team to take the lead. So spin it however you want to make you feel better, but the lack of a Carolina recovery on that fumble sealed the Panther's doom in Super Bowl 50 - and you were in the best position to make that recovery.

Unfortunately, Newton is making himself into a polarizing figure in football. He is a braggart and also a sore loser. Not a good combination. He is still relatively young so hopefully he can get his act together for his own good and for the good of his team.
