Got out of bed to watch this. Wasn’t surprised or angry at the result or the performance from Everton ( I backed 1-3 ). City have players on the bench who would be our star players. Don Carlo is one of the best managers in the business and he gave an honest assessment of the game.

Hard to compete with that buying power. Too much quality.

Everton put up a good fight and almost had something but to no avail the expensive Man City team was able to pull two white rabbits out of the hat in the dying moments.

Yes. City had De Bruyne ( one of the best midfielders in the world ) on the bench for an FA Cup quarter-final and still had more than enough quality in the middle to dominate possession.

I was exchanging texts with a bluenose back home and we were trying to come up with anyone from Everton who would get on City’s bench. We came up with Ancelotti in his prime as a player.

Fair play to Everton. Yet again... if it wasnt for a lack of a bit more financial.power, theyd be way up higher and may even have us knocked out.

I reckon 2 or 3 quality players and they are guaranteed top 4 every year. Manager certainly good enough.

But then again I see games against some lower ranked teams and it seems the mentality still not consistent enough. Must be frustrating.

As a City fan, just hoping we can get a similar run going after the break and we may bag 2, even 3 trophies. But no matter how much hyped up, we are not winning the quadruple. Even if we pass QF in the CL, think Bayern (Lewandowski) at least will prove a bit too much.

Saints are showing improvement. They are finally moving away from their difficult past. All the best to Ralph and his boys in the challenges ahead on multiple fronts.
