Always happy to see Italy lose - one of the luckiest, arsiest national teams ever

You don't go unbeaten that long by luck. Well played to Spain, although Insigne should have tied it up when Italy still had 11 men.

I should add, Italy had horrible luck with the corrupt refs in 2002 World Cup, but bounced back to win in 2006 despite a ridiculous red-card for Materazzi in the knock-out rounds. That again after a long unbeaten streak leading into the tournament. That is called resilience, not luck.

They were lucky in 2006; when they won a knockout match against Australia with a dubious penalty in the last minute. Then they were lucky in the final where Zidane was red carded & they won on penalties.

And they were lucky again this year winning the semifinal & final on penalties.

All arse, no class

La Liga is a tough competition. Top quality Spanish footballers are found in almost all the La Liga teams. When assembled in the national squad, Spain footballers do justice to their footballing talent. Well played Spain. All the best in the summit clash.
