Felicidades España! The only nation to win both men's and women's World cups! They'll be dancing in the streets of Spain all day!

Hats off to both The Lionesses and La Roja for putting on a sensational final. It could have gone the other way had The Lionesses taken their chances - but overall one would have to say La Roja were the dominant team who showed more control of the biggest game.

England can be enormously proud of their women - they will be better for the run in the Olympics next year, and the next WC.

I for one have enjoyed every moment of this brilliant World Cup! Licking my lips at the prospect of 2027!!

Fantastic tournament.

After the men’s World Cup, this is the best international tournament in all sport - male or female.

Congratulations to the world champions and to their challengers. Well played Spain and well played England. La Roja's tiki-taka rituals and counter-attacks contained a good amount of danger. The long ball efforts of the Lionesses created much excitement on and off the field.

I gave you a thumbs up Steven :)

That made me chuckle !

I think the host counties will be happier with that result - nobody wants to see their ex-colonial masters take the win !

Good job Lionesses, you did us proud !

Very good game. Spain deserved it. But I am happy the WWC has come to this. It's not always up to the physical and technical standard of the men but it is thoroughly good entertainment.

Absolutely, it's celebration time in Espana....well done.

So they should celebrate.

Millions around the world watching them win this huge tournament.

Very well done. Massive honour.

That was the soccer final match, so of course the only soccer team has won, not those physically stronger 'pro wrestlers' who only tried to push opponents meters away or to stomp them unfairly down to the ground regardless of the ball nearby or anywhere else.

Nah, mate. That didn’t happen.

You can’t do that.

They have things like fouls and cards and things like that.

You aren’t really familiar with this game, are you?

You don’t have to read half of the books ever written on the rules, but a quick look might help.

You might know even less about football than me. Is your only source of reference "Shaolin Soccer"?
