This weekend marks the return of footie, and it heralds the beginning of a new Slot era at Liverpool. We will miss Klopp and the entertainment of his skills and antics.

And the Game is Live.

Then there's Everton, which is preparing for its last season playing at Goodison Park

It’ll be sad to say goodbye to the Grand Old Lady.

A pint in the Red Brick or the Chepstow and then the walk up.

Hope the pubs and other businesses around Goodison do okay after we move.

Bookies have it as pretty much a two-horse race between City and Arsenal. Liverpool some distance away in the odds in third and the others miles back.

So much depends on the form of Haaland. City are unbeatable when he plays well. When he doesn't, their focus is mis-directed. They won the Premier League playing with a false nine, and are probably better in this structure than with a poor Haaland. Last season they missed the contribution of Gundogan and have still not found a replacement. I don't see the outcome is as clear as the betting odds suggest.

Only one entity can stop Man City: the Premier League itself with the 115 charges they are bringing against them, and hopefully a mega-points deduction (commensurate on scale to Everton and Forest) down to Div. 2. But sadly, we all know the PL hasn’t got the (foot)balls to do it.

Looking forward go this season and now I can easily watch all the matches again on U Next. Well, Palace bring in a few decent players including our first Japanese Kamada.

Also, I hope the teams that cheat get the proper punishments so decent family orientated teams like Palace have a fair playing field. Man City are the worlds biggest cheaters and their owners are very shady and unlikeable.
