fantastic result by Takeuchi, shame it was on the same day as the ladies figure skating as she is getting almost none of the accolades or attention she richly deserves.

Indeed. She is truly worthy of attention. It was so heartbreaking to see her fall yesterday. Of course, it seemed like no one could win on that blue course.

I enjoyed watching the races. Takeuchi did well. The wipe out was unfortunate but she`s up there at the top in the world for snowboard slalom.

Great job! I was so happy to hear of her medal winning performance. It took some of the sting out of the disappointing figure skating result. It was also kind of funny to see how the Japanese mass-media machine, which had been primed to cover the figure skating, do a sudden pivot to cover this event.
