Tanaka did great. That ball movement was awesome. He's clearly ready for the start of the season

My home team Jays though are already in a pickle with 3B Josh Donaldson having "dead arm" issues and relegated to DH. This adds a utility player Solarte for 3B that might work out. Donaldson should've taken a 10 day DL at the end of spring training but he can be stubborn.

Good to see Sanchez work but he lost it in the 6th.

It's the first two games but I hope we're not already contracting home run-itis

Nice win by Tanaka. A huge difference from his season opener last year. A clobbering which probably caused him to doubt himself for most of the season.

It'll be interesting to see Ohtani pitch on Sunday after the dismal spring he had. At least he'll be pitching against the A's.

Tanaka didn't pitch many four seam fastballs after the home run in the earlier inning.

Next time his slow balls will be hit how accurate they are controlled.
