must be economical for the company.

LOL, I thought I was reading an unintentional typo and that Tiger was here to pitch something more romantic, i.e. rabu-rabu.

Who is advising this company and/or making these decisions? First that had Dice-K who had to stop pitching because of elbow and shoulder problems in the last two years (Guess the rub didn't work all that well.) And now they have Tiger, who apparently is a recovering sex addict, hasn't won in over a year and one-half, and is on the shelf due to a knee injury. That is the best they can do?

"must be economical for the company."

I guess only if they're getting a break because Tiger's career seems to be on the downside at the moment. Otherwise I'd say the price for his services would be pretty high.

Feel the burn baby!!! Scraping the bottle of the barrel Tiger.

"Antiphlogistic analgesic"? Sure has a catchy ring to it!

Either they figure that the Japanese aren't as put off by Woods' recent behavior as western viewers, or they are intentionally making a joke with "rabu" and "love"...

Actually, it's a good product. Just dumb gaijin-use advertising, but that's hardly unusual.

i don't give a flying nothing about golf, tigers from woods, and much much less, their efforts to make millions more on top of what they already made with product created for profit, not for people's problems

I thought he would have been more effective pitching contracteptives or something similar!!!

While he's flogging "heat rubs", it's too bad the makers of Tiger Balm didn't try to get him on contract... ;-)

LET THE JOKES BEGIN

Hasn't Tiger received enough heat for rubbing things already?

You can check your Victorian overwrought sexual fixations at the door. Japanese really don't care. Who is the nation of children now McArthur? Japanese look at the so called "scandal" and shrug. The man is one of the greatest golfers who ever lived, and all the English speaking crowd can remember is that he had one proven mistress and a pack of wannabees in tow with mouths the size of a Hummer? But they said "Sex!" Lame!

Tiger's promotion in Japan will only be less effective because his game is not so good right now, and that thanks to other immature English speaking mouths also as big as a Hummer.

I think they should have Otosan working with him ne!

Tiger: you need a good manager who could re-develop all the potential that you still possess. You are on the way back and you need help. What you don't need is a bunch of jerks trying to be cutesy. You made a mistake, but maybe you can win back what is your family. Frankly, I would like to help you.

do they mean "cheetah"(cheater) woods?!

I guarantee this isn't the first burning sensation for Tiger.

With 3 melted reactors spewing radiation, I am really not concerned with Tiger Woods. TEPCO and the Japan government should get the radiation contained as soon as possible. Its amazing there is time for anything else than getting those reactors closed.

dunno how long you have been here, chewitup - bit the Japanese are pretty much the last people to get over a "scandal". Check out all the entertainment careers that have been destroyed here for one mistake. Personally, I hope the Tiger wins 10 more Majors - he is a legend on and off the fairway!

True, but not a very enlightening statement, since I know of no country that are soft on their own celebrities when a scandal is committed. Yes I know that it seems unfair that the Japanese media would condemn harshly their own celebrities when they commit a scandal, and yet still freely invite over stars involved in scandals from abroad, such as Tiger Woods.

The last people to get over the scandal is the U.S. corporate sponors and they will not get over it. The biggest money-loser from the sex scandal is Tiger Woods. Corporate sponsors Accenture and AT&T dumped him as an endorser. That will cost him a combined $18 million to $25 million a year. No matter what Woods does, corporate will shun him away. He's a damaged good.
