Pink needs to buy less suggestive uniforms for the Americans instead of their yoga pants.

Most coveted medal in the whole games

For Japan, that'd be baseball

If they lose that one, that'd be a tragedy for them

(especially since their opponents don't have current MLB players)

As expected, America still leads the rest of the other nation's in the total medal count.

Congratulations to Ueno-san and mates, it was fun watching the highly skilled Japanese women beat Australia, Canada, and the US.

The first two outs (double play) in the 7th inning was a pretty awesome play. Check it out! The ball hits off third base(wo)man's wrist, but caught by shortstop for the first out, then thrown to second base for the out because the runner needed to tag up. After that was the winning out catch made by the catcher.

You can't see it in this clip, but if you find the entire game, you can find the replay right after this.

Team USA made a great catch at the end of the 6th, preventing a 2 run homer when the left-fielder caught the ball over the back wall. Unfortunately, they couldn't convert the excitement into points afterward.

I was in attendance for the Japan vs USA final in 2008 in Beijing. Even though I was surrounded mostly American fans, I had mixed feelings at that time too. Cheer for my native country or the one I live in. I stayed neutral. Results look like a repeat of 2008 too. Japan lost 1 and U.S. swept on way to the final.

Japan beat us fair and square. Good job ladies. You earned it.

Congratulations to Japan!! I must say being an American with a Japanese wife and bi racial kids it not easy to choose a side in these games with JPN VS USA. The wokesters have changed that. Go JAPAN!!!

Monica Abbott (a pitcher for USA) and Yukiko Ueno (pitcher for Japan) who played in this game also met 13 years ago in the final game of Olympic 2008. They have been rivals ever since. They are two of the greatest Softball pitchers in history. This game was most likely their last Olympic game, and I was very happy to see them pitching against each other one more time here in Japan. It was such a great, memorable game.

Congratulations to the Japanese team!

Still, most of Japan’s ‘conflicted’ populace remain. … ‘conflicted’.

For example, @Paul’s* 7:17am **conflicting* messages:

- “It proves it is the correct choice to have Olympics under any circumstance.” -

yet

- “Stay home and watch games to stop spread” -

Would have liked to see USA take it, but fair and square Japan did a number and deserved the Gold. Congratulations!

Congratulations! are always ‘in good form’ to ANY of the winners that made it, … this far.

Stay Safe! -

It is a great and a glorious win for Japan! This will be remembered for a long time. It proves it is the correct choice to have Olympics under any circumstance. The hearts of Japan are lifted up by this team and their effort makes us endure this time now.

Stay home and watch games to stop spread.
