Athletes will be told not to socialize, to refrain for any tourism, and to come late and leave early to reduce the risks of spreading the virus.

That should be fun. I was an athlete I just would have boycotted the games

Yeah, that's exactly how athletes think! What would be your sport? "Couch Surfing" maybe"?

Nearly half the article is a plug for a swimmer. Just goes to show how hard up the government is here in drumming up support!

Are the Olympics even being talked about in countries outside of Japan in 2021?

Are other countries making teams for various sports for the Olympics in 2021?

This will be cancelled or Japan will be embarrassed by being the host country and only participant. Corona will be in wave 5 by opening ceremony. Perhaps do the Olympics on a Zoom call!

Media shouldInspire Us’ to care about this event that government & profiting sponsors continue to insist upon. - There is a great photo of the ‘graceful’ and ‘gracious’ Japanese swimmer Rikako Ikee was available in Today’s “100 days before Tokyo Olympics” article. (Why wasn’t that photo used here? The accompanying photos look like a hodgepodge of ‘recycled images’ from previous stories.)

Rikako Ikee is the one, inspirational and deservedly ‘shining star’ we are all waiting to see compete. She deserves ‘the spotlight’.

Yes. @jijiXx 6:57a.

Much of the city will be watching Wed as the countdown clocks around town hit the 100-days-to-go mark.

- “oh yeah?” -

Yes. Because the media says so. We ‘urge’ you to get on board!
