The comedy of a blind man behaving violently is a staple of the famous Canadian show Just For Laughs Gags.

All this masochism over something that one has done 30 years ago is ridiculous. I can only imagine what I have said or done over the past 30 years that someone might pensive as derogatory. Therefore I should whip myself with barb wire as repentance.

One can't judge the past with today's standards.
