Having said that, one could argue Slavic chics take the best of Nordic and East Asian chics and combine it into one.

If Bulgaria was any closer to Russia, i would have said I bet there gas gets cut off this winter.

But either way well done ladies !!

Linoy Ashram of Israel won gold in the individual competition Saturday, edging out a pair of Russian identical twins who were the favorites heading into Tokyo.

Ashram made a pretty big mistake but still won. The Russians are pretty pissed about this!

Dina Averina was robbed and anyone who is familiar with rhythmic gymnastics understands this.

Linoy did a great job, BUT dropping her apparatus and getting gold is impossible. She dropped it, then did a few steps to take it, yet her score was even higher than her qualification score the day before. There was extremely biased judgement yesterday and today - even today half of the teams inquired to review their scores.

Very disappointed in the judges who were set on kicking ROC off the pedestal, but also respect to the ROC team for still performing despite knowing beforehand that they would not be given gold.

Dina's routines were pretty dull and same-y, though technically good. Linoy's routines were far more interesting to watch.
