Of course he would. And stand by for more complaints about this and that in Japan from the Chinese team. However when next years genocide Olympics in Beijing rolls around, all we will hear from them is how magnificient the venue is. Bet on it.

China's table tennis chief on Tuesday claimed the "smaller than usual" size of the playing areas may affect players' performance and safety, in his latest complaints about the Tokyo Olympics.

China have won 28 of the 32 table tennis titles awarded at the Olympics, dominating a sport in a way that has rarely been matched.

Look no further than your own Government, the Government of China refusal to cooperate in all aspects of researching the origins of this pandemic means you have less space to swing your racket.

All the whining and whinging in the world won't change that fact.

I highly doubt Japanese competitors are restricted to these same playing areas. Hell, I bet they don't even have to stay in those rabbit hutch hotels.

The Japanese also got complaints at the Nagano Olympics for having too short of a downhill run.

I'm sure the mandate for the Chinese team is to find anything to pop off about criticizing Japan.The thing is they wouldn't be so emboldened to, back home though if they didn't like something,would they?

China needs to chill out for a while.

Waaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! When I was in the Navy, a recruit training class head (a Filipino at that) told us 'boots' that when you are in a foreign land, they're not the foreigners. You are! And you are a guest. Act like it. Don't be a self-impressed national chauvinistic boor.

When you live your entire life in a shoebox of 20mp so called appatto, having larger ping-pong areas seems like a huge waste of time and money.

They're basically right. You don't need more space to live in, it's just nice. But hardly a necessity.

3.2.3 Playing Conditions

3.2.3.1 The playing space shall be rectangular and not less than 14m long, 7m wide and 5m high, but the 4 corners may be covered by surrounds of not more than 1.5m length; for wheelchair events, the playing space may be reduced, but shall not be less than 8m long and 6m wide; for Veteran events, the playing space may be reduced, but shall not be less than 10m long and 5m wide.

So he does have a point here. It begs to question why the playing area is smaller than the stated requirement in the handbook by the International Table Tennis Federation.

Mister Liu aka China, not exactly consistent in their complaints:

Liu previously complained about what he viewed as the Tokyo Olympics' excessive virus prevention measures which made the team's preparations "extremely difficult".

"We didn't expect some epidemic rules like not wiping the game table with your hand, or blowing (on the ball)," he told CCTV last week.

Last week, the Chinese sailing team also complained of poor pandemic prevention measures at their hotel, saying competitors were forced to mix with other guests.

It's a pity that the Chinese didn't give their virus a little more room to play in then perhaps it wouldn't have felt the need to escape.

Where’s the problem here? Who wants the gold medal, has to be capable enough to play and win on areas of any size. It’s everywhere else common sense and similar too, for example you won’t ever get Michelin stars if you serve in your restaurant only standard glasses of faucet water, right?

They're running in a rectangle shaped area.

THE ONLY thing "dangerous" in that area is the actual ping pong table.

Blame the table not the area.

And oh by the way, don't blame others..................blame corona.

Unfortunately for Japan, the Chinese are again correct.

What a whiny bunch these athletes are. If it's not the Chinese, it's the South Koreans.

Imagine even if one Japanese athlete made a legitimate complaint in China or South Korea. Those two countries would be livid.

It’s Japan. Japanese are good at doing something legal but tricky , to win.

It is related to the Corona problem. Does he not see that?

In Japan, food stores shortened hours by opening almost two hours later and closing two hours earlier. That is how logic works here to prevent the virus from spreading so making space smaller is better. Restaurant hours are reduced so you can crowd more in with less work on keeping them separted. America was wrong. They lengthened store hours in the morning and extended in the evening to avoid crowds. So sad that they think so much better. I enjoy Japanese logic. Makes sense to me.
