So basically millions of dollar training, millions of dollars equipment, etc... which is why in the last Olympics 10 countries took home more than half of all medals the next 10 countries took home more than half the remainder all 20 countries rich powerful countries.
The the rest of the remaining medals were spread out between the outh 180 or so countries.
Seeing the Olympics are all about money anyway, why not reduce cost eliminate around 150 countries and just have the 50 rich countries battle it out because basically it is sort of that already except it is really only 30 countries but I figure 20 more might make it more interesting.

Fast times due to physiological aspects, the environment and technology. I’m glad that explains the speed gains and its nothing to do with a global pandemic, lockdowns and an absence of out of competition testing so athletes can consume industrial amounts of performance enhancing drugs with out worry of being caught.
