Will Bach announce the cancellation, and stop the Japanese politicians from having to do it?

There will certainly be a lot of speculation leading up to this meeting. Will this be how the Olympics are canceled? A joint press conference with IOC head Bach, Prime Minister Suga and Tokyo Governor Koike.

Should prove interesting.

Mr. Pressure will be coming for a visit, Mr. Suga.

Quarantine wavered of course and the requirement to rent phone and download the three required apps as well I am sure. Does he even need to show a negative test?

Practice run for all the Olympic visitors who also will be waivered all the entry requirements that have been so carefully put in place to protect Japan from the virus. Who said the Olympics is a danger! Obviously anyone connected to the Olympics are immune to the virus.

Japanese government should be sued if he doesn’t quarantine for 2 weeks in a state institution.

Coming in May to make sure the Olympics are ready so he can get paid!!! He doesn’t care about COVID cases or the health of the people in this country. He and his mates just want the money from the broadcasting rights.

Bach is coming for a peptalk because the IOC trying to get paid. If Japan cancels then it might start a domino effect with folks already wanting boycott Beijing.

It could be interesting if there were local demonstrations against him?

interesting point. There is already a concerted program to boycott Beijing next year, but no effort to boycott Tokyo in the height of out of control mutations, right here, right now...

Why can he come to Japan as he pleases? That IOC dude is so annoying it makes my blood boil just to listen him speak.

In my opinion, he's another atomic bomb. And one was enough for Hiroshima. The city's and prefecture's leaders should should say a hard, definitive 'NO!' I have no doubt 90% of Hiroshima's residents would agree. This visit would be the worst of gratuitous insults.
