Keep Olympic bubble while practicing social distancing?

Thousands and thousands were also packing along the road. Nice to see.
Olympics without spectators is not Olympics.
Expect to see thousands for the marathon

Just stay home, stop the spread, it's like no one cares

went to the venue yesterday to take some pics. They sure are vigilant with security to keep the people who paid for this farce with taxes far away from it.

There are ways to call these kind of people, that take advantage of most other people being responsible in order to enjoy something themselves.

Live feed from Tokyo on Australian tv, the mask less reporter said there were about 2000 spectators at the swimming, - media, other athletes spectating, VIPs etc. He said the atmosphere was very lively with everyone cheering loudly. He said the no cheering rule has been disregarded from day one. He quite openly even proudly admitted the Olympic playbook was being disregarded.

As a man of science, I sure you would call these people level headed. Sitting outside in the sun the chance of infection is almost zero.

Gamba Osaka - Oita Trinita
J-League 1
Panasonic Stadium
Attendance: 4,205 spectators
What’s the point of not allowing fans at the Olympics again?

Didn't they hear the promise that there is zero risk to the Japanese public?
louisferdinandc
Zero risk to the Japanese public, definitely not zero risk from Japanese public.

So the government says one thing "Stay home" then let's people go to these events!
Then it wonders why the youth aren't listening.

It's a shame, the games are great, I understand why people want to watch and cheer them on.

The governement said no spectators but the final decision was in the hand of the prefecture governors. Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures did allow spectators, that's it. Those prefectures are not under an SoE. Only Tokyo is.
So why people should stay home as many posts do suggest ?
Do all you guys on this forum stay home ?
And it is impossible to prohibit people to watch events along the streets.

The catchphrase that they are using for these games 'United By Emotion' will soon be 'United By Infection!'

There are no spectators allowed in Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa, and Chiba.
All other places can have the 50% under capacity or 10, 000 people Max.

I fully support those who attended, their dreams came true. Those that criticize them and call the selfish should lighten up and get a life.
