Glad that storm's off the coast. It's bringing in waves which is good because that whole area goes completely flat at times, which would've been disastrous for its Olympic debut.

waves will be good on Tuesday and Wednesday. As a surfer you should know this.

I am am a water rider, but my opinion is that this should not be an Olympic event. Too prejudiced on wave riding abilities and the mother of all nature takes waves under its own jurisdiction. Sorry. And because of this taifu now the waves are junk and turning up into the surf a lot of the garbage from the sand below. Been surfing here since ‘85
