When will go karting, dodgeball, billiards and darts become games?

I think we’ve seen enough of the hammer throw and skeet shooting already.

Love all those sports but don't think they belong in the Olympics. Sports inflation is one reason the cost of hosting the Games has skyrocketed. Clean house: eliminate all sports that were not in the, say, '32 Olympics.

The International Olympic Committee has said it wants to promote "youth-oriented sports" and make "gender equality a big focus for Tokyo".

I'm not sure how there was any inequality between men and women in earlier Olympic Games. Can someone elaborate?

And none of those sports will be shown on any of the TV coverage. With no fans in the stands as well. ggwp

criticizing snowboard to be a sport when biathlon is part of the winter olympics, compare who goes skiing and shooting targets on weekends with who takes a board and go down a hill, which is the more popular actually ?

No! Boring! The Olympics doesn’t have time for multi-day innings and stumps at bad light. If anything it’d have to be One-day matches, and even that’s too long!

The inclusion of break dancing is to be applauded. Break dancing is phenomenal. Incredibly enjoyable to watch. The top practitioners are gifted dancers and athletes. It is on par with gymnastics. The athleticism is amazing.

Certainly, it is contemporary and did not exist in Ancient Greece. It is the 21st century. Culture adds to its riches. And the buy-in doesn't require the means of an aristocrat. It originated in the streets. Not in the parlors of the effete.

Two of the finest break dancers in the world are Ami and Issei of Japan.
