It would be a terrible shame if Japan followed India as the next Covid-19 disaster story. It seems to me that the government and the citizenry should be working to get the vaccines into peoples' arms as quickly as possible.

Local government they put their citizen first, that's good!

That's good. Can't say the same for the national Japanese government.

The CDC recently announced that the possibility of transmitting Covid outdoors has been vastly overstated.

As long as people maintain reasonable distances from one another and refrain from screaming hysterically, and wear a mask for good measure, the chances of catching Covid outdoors is nil.

The Torch Relay is a great opportunity for the Japanese people to display the Olympic Spirit and show the world the undaunted spirit of Bushido!

Watched the latest 'Torch Relay ceremony' last night. I think it was Fukuoka. An absolute farce.

20-30 participants passing a torch to each other on a stage, grey overall-clad event staff with walkie-talkies overseeing every move that they made, barking orders, while the usual 'Bijin Ana' host tried to drum up support from a lacklustre audience.

Funny thing is, Hidehiko Yuzaki, Hiroshima governor, is LDP

The Tokyo Olympic torch relay is being pulled off the streets in Hiroshima Prefecture as COVID-19 cases rise in Japan barely 10 weeks before the opening ceremony.

On Monday, Japan’s Kyodo news agency reported that Hyogo and Okayama prefectures will also take the torch relay off public streets.

Local government they put their citizen first, that's good!

Great news! Now if they just cancel this entire disaster and put the Japanese Citizens first...

^Dreams...Who am I kidding?
