Good luck babysitting 15,000 athletes in a bubble.

I guess all the talk about how the Olympics will re-energize the local economy is kaput. No touristy things for the athletes and no tourists at all.

No problem, since all the major companies (Dentsu et al) have made their billions while the people pay.

Pyongyang will be a happier, freer and more cheery place this summer. Then there's the heat....ugh.

Thanks, Mori-san!

Mens sana in corpore sano. Fun and games. The Olympic brotherhood and meeting of people from all over the world. Cultural exchange and understanding. A celebration of sport.

if they would be held sounds more like exercising for inmates

Offering playbook is more costly..

Just cancel the olympic and carry on normal life..

i cann't think why japan still persists in holding olympic .

Canceling Olympic isn't the end of the world.

Canceling olympic means saving more lives.. simple as that.

I have just read the BBC version of this article and there is a disclaimer which has been omitted. In the first playbook it says that participants attend the games at their own risk. Very off-putting, I would say.

Utterly ridiculous and unworkable.

Nope, I'm not assured. Try again IOC.

Much of the information is still vague with more details coming in updates in April and June. Then why print it? The disaster is obvious it's only a select few going to make money at the expense of the many. Atherletes are on lockdown in a foreign country then lockdown when returning home. They are not performing monkeys they are people! It's gotten so out of hand, And the, our leaders seem unaware of their own stupidity.

Still so many news articles about the Olympics?

It is very clear at this stage that the Olympics simply won’t happen.

No doubts about it.

Very brilliant. Mori's solution to the pandemic is a "rule book". I wonder how much money he wasted on printing "common sense".

I think the Tokyo organizers and the IOC talk too much.

I've had the pox, blubonic plague, syphillis, nuroviris, chickenpox, crabs, AIDS, solved them all with a rule book I wrote. They listened, read the book and left. As will Atherletes they will read the book and not bother. See it does work. Everyone should write a rule book that's vague and in the future might be updated. The government should encourage this. Solve so manny problems.

Simple Olympic Playbook with rules; Stay home and cancel the Olympics.

The no fun Olympics...

This corrupt farce finds new ways to amuse/infuriate everyday.

With all that rules, do athletes want come. For sure, the might have no choice.

Do not use public transport without permission.

Why always freaking about public transport. We take the train everyday without any problem and no testing, but why athletes and others who will have regular tests could not it. It is like returnees who after a negative test can not use public transport.

But going to a club in Kabukicho or Ginza and use transport for locals is ok......

Good job, no difference in Tokyo right now, we can go anywhere and everywhere almost

I suggest cancelling the 2020 Olympics then everyone should boycott the Olympics in Beijing!

Wear a face mask at all times, except when eating and sleeping, unless people are outdoors and two meters apart.

Should we read that as they plan to put the shower outdoor and 2 meters apart ? Perhaps it is a way to money by selling ticket for spectator.

Gather enough masks for their entire stay and note "guidelines related to face mask branding." The Olympic Charter's Rule 40 limits unauthorized commercial activity.

What about you provide the sponsored mask then ? Not all countries and athletes got a bunch of money to spare to have sport compatible masks with no brand.

What is this? A coloring book? I need one for my 2 year old son. Where can I get one?

SOCIAL LIFE

Limit physical contact with athletes, maintaining a two-meter distance at all times, except for "operational reasons" such as in the field of play or training areas. This points toward limits on athletes partying and the intimate relations that are a traditional feature of Olympic villages.

Do not visit tourist areas, shops, restaurants and bars or gyms.

Wear a face mask at all times, except when eating and sleeping, unless people are outdoors and two meters apart.

So no Sex, Drinking, Fun, or Interaction. Sounds grand. Sign me up..........................will be said by absolutely no one.

Huh, really? I wonder what my friends working 12h a day to make the games happen are actually doing then.

But I guess you know better than the people actually working for the organisation.

No cheering, no bars, less intimacy to ensure safe Olympics and ‘no long conversations with women’

It is going to be soo exciting!!!
