Boycott the China Olympics.

Why give legitimacy to a country that is actively conducting genocide and oppressing Tibet and HK?

They shouldn’t be spending money on the Olympics, they should be paying out trillions to every country in the world for spreading their virus and killing millions. They need to be held accountable.

I’m sure the Olympics will go ahead because money is powering it, but the boycott movement against them is strong and all their atrocities will be the focus of the Olympics.

The Government of China is a ghastly monstrosity to the very basic meaning of human rights, to the supposed the Olympic Ideal.

The Olympic ideal is anchored in human rights: it embodies fairness, non-discrimination, respect and equal opportunities for all. ... Non-discrimination includes equal access to sports and sporting facilities for all young people, without distinction

Are the IOC seriously going to pursue a Games under the Government of China continuing record detailed of human rights abuses.

Walk away. That's only the first step

A global show of solidarity-the whole world should turn their backs on the China Winter Olympics in response to their virus that has done so much to upset the civilised world.

Where is the apology for their virus? Where are the financial compensation payments to every country effected by their man made virus?

I'm envisioning a Olympics with the stands full of spectators--from only China,

The only positive thing I can say about the Olympics is that I'm glad they are now China's problem.

A good time to boycott; feel bad for the slalom skiers and bobsledders but oh well.

The last pandemic lasted from 1918 into 1920. There is no reason to think that the current pandemic will be over in time for the 2022 Winter Olympics. So, there will be medical problems to consider in holding the Olympics this coming winter. However, I look forward to watching them. I hope they can be held relatively safely.

Japan should attend, as goodwill to China.

Russia will definitely attend.

Besides this awful Coronavirus, which was Made in China, who would want to go to China with all of the lies and cover-ups about the Coronavirus and the awful human rights abuses going on there right now?

It would be turning a blind eye to what North Korea's been doing and rewarding them at the same time.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and local organizers insisted on testing everyone involved before and regularly during the Games, and keeping athletes away from the public.

Well they failed doing that in Tokyo.

The Chinese will better supervise the ones who do go.

"I don't think it’s realistic to expect the athletes to arrive in Beijing (at least) two weeks in advance and to be quarantined," he said. "From the financial point of view, who would pay the bill? The organizing committee? The IOC?

IOC will not reach into their profits for it.

People flying into China from abroad must quarantine for between two and three weeks in a hotel, and it is unclear if the thousands of athletes, team officials, media and others coming to the Games will have to do

likewise.

Maybe China will have the athletes arrive and be properly quarantined.

Bo Li, assistant professor of sports management at Miami University in Ohio, said Beijing 2022 organizers should take their cue from Tokyo in handling the virus threat.

Failure to keep the athletes inside the zones they were suppose to be in was not good handling.

In China none of them will be wandering around where they should not be.

how abt to make all olympics in USA and completely privatize it so these will in best country in the world and exactly as you wish with loads of ads and politics mixed...remember LA 1984?

Yeah, a lot has changed and the IOC is more powerful than ever, so those glory days are gone, now the organization is as corrupt as and rivals the social media platforms

We people of the world should never repeat huge mistakes made for the 1936 Berlin Games.
