Madden, I've done several marathons, this course sounds interesting. One large loop, which is basically point to point and then twice around a 10k loop. The second time around the second loop will we really exciting to watch. I'm sure there will be several thousand people watching in the second half, which the runner's will appreciate.

For the Paralympics, I'm sorry but the end of August is still pretty blazing hot and humid.

The Paralympic marathons will remain in Tokyo and should avoid the heat since the Paralympics begin two weeks after the Olympics end and extend into the cooler month of September.

I hope so, for the sake of the athletes. However, this smells a bit like the "The calendar says October so I'm going to wear a scarf now, regardless of the fact that the temperature is actually quite high" logic that is quite common in Japan.

How boring, a loop course. Marathons should always be run as a point to point course!

Seeing as the course runs right through Susukino, the authorities may use it as excuse to crackdown on the famous red-light district.
