It's not difficult but whether people that involved in Hokkaido Olympics are willing to implicated with scandal after Tokyo Olympics. Most of small and medium companies that involved in Tokyo Olympics, they are not scandalous companies at least until Tokyo Olympics.

But Hokkaido Governor Naomichi Suzuki believes an investigation into allegations of bribery in the selection of Tokyo Games sponsors is threatening to derail Sapporo's bid.

Suzuki is putting the cart before the horses, the investigation is not damaging the Sapporo's bid, it is making clear why the city should not be making that bid in the first place. Corruption is rampant and without correcting that first he is taking an unnecessary risk of losing a lot of the people's money only to make dirty organizers and companies get that money.

Dont worry. Sapporo will win. The IOC owes Japan big time.

It's humorous that a politician in Hokkaido named "Suzuki" is griping about political scandals (not his fault, just saying it's a funny coincidence) after possible-relative Muneo did what he did and was even re-elected after being convicted.

Corruption, like in politics is an integral part in sport. It has a positive effect on the local community. You can’t just walk into a bank with a suitcase full of $500000 cash. But you can buy watches, hotel rooms, restaurant meals, Italian shoes, etc, benefiting local workers and businesses instead of hoarding the cash in banks.

Most beneficial scandal in quite some time. The IOC grifters have outlived their usefulness. With the internet, international travel, etc. the Olympics has lost quite a bit of their luster, especially the Winter games that are dominated by the Nordic European countries. The 'bids' are pretty half-hearted from the two 'finalists' of Salt Lake City and Sapporo. With less bids, less payola for the IOC.
