Baseball and softball can work if nations take them seriously.
I think squash could work, certainly much moreso than skateboarding, surfing or climbing!

Pfffft...if keirin could make it into the summer games, I guess anything's fair game.
No pun intended.

Go ahead and add some sports, just start looking for venues to rent.

Squash is far more international than Baseball/Softball. If that's a consideration, I suppose surfing/skateboarding are as well (tho' I don't really regard either skateboarding or sports climbing as "olympic sports"!)...

"Under the “Olympic Agenda 2020” program adopted by the IOC last December, host cities are allowed to propose one or more additional events for their games. The proposed new events would add 18 events and 474 athletes to the Tokyo Games."
So... one or more games but Japan wants to add EIGHTEEN??
And how are baseball and softball even considered serious contenders for the WORLD Olympics with SIX teams?? I know Japan is desperate to medal, but recommending so few teams so that it can do so? How on earth is that considered an Olympic sport when only six teams -- and therefore six nations -- will participate?

"baseball"
Snoozefest.
"softball"
Snoozefest.
"karate"
Hai!
"skateboarding"
Heck, the winter olympics have snowboarding...
"sports climbing"
This could be interesting...
"surfing"
Well East coast girls are hip, I really dig those styles they wear...

Karate is obvious. Baseball-softball? Has that disaster not been tried before? Spare us! Skateboarding, surfing, and climbing -- I wonder how they want to score them.

One or more sport, with the end result of adding 18 events - remembering that weight classes or divisions are still events...

The Olympic motto is made up of three Latin words : Citius - Altius - Fortius. These words mean Faster - Higher - Stronger. I prefer sports that can be measured, and not those that human beings judge and score.

They're doubtful of getting the stadium finished on time. I'd think that was more important than giving recommendations
