Of COURSE they will stick to the inflated yakuza-sub-contracted plans for building outrageous theatres that will cost a fortune even after the games are done! Why would they stick to their promises to the IOC about an economically feasible games? I mean, the rich don't have to pay for it, do they?

As long as it looks as good as it did in the pictures and doesn't fall apart during an earthquake they can say whatever they want about saving money. We all know what will really happen in the end, sadly.

Funny how during the bidding process Tokyo trumpeted about its HUGE war chest of $$$$$$
Then on winning its pointed out that the Tokyo govt isn't going to fund the main stadium........WTF!
And yes no matter how much downsizing & cost trimming there appears to be its pretty much guaranteed the final budget for this monstrosity will double at the very least, I bet it will at least triple in costs unless its seriously scled back & downsized!
That's just the way Japan ""works""
Heza!
For now they say they'll scale back, but in reality they wont since the games are so far out

I don't like the design, size, and cost. I don't want to see a monstar like that practically at my backyard. Couldn't they move it somewhereelse?
